Bakumatsu Jinchuu Houkoku Resshiden Miburo is a visual novel by Inre that shares characters with the ChuSinGura 46+1 series, but also introduces a bunch of new ones. There’s also a map system to be introduced this time, to make it easier to follow the movement of the story.
The story of Bakumatsu Jinchuu Houkoku Resshiden Miburo takes place in the last years of the Edo-era. In this time a strange power exists in the world. A power that allows someone to read the weakness of their opponents, allowing them an easy victory. It’s said that a small light, -and sometimes a small flame-, can be seen when this power is used.
It’s at this time that Japan has fallen into an unprecedented crisis. The time frame is set 10 years after the “black ships” attacked. With the seat of power moving from Edo to Kyoto. Yet the area still turned into a lawless area. More commonly referred to as “the divine punishment”.
A new force then appeared that protected the town. This force would later be known as the “Shinsengumi”. Our protagonist of the story is a young man that was said by the Shinsengumi, and the story will follow him as he gets to protect the rest of the town.
