Freaks Romanticism
Junjou Karen Freaks is the second visual novel title by Wonder Fool. Which features art by new artist Bonnie and a scenario written by veterans Hozakura and Yoshii Hajime.
The world in Junjou Karen Freaks is slightly different from the world that you and I know. It’s a world in where supernaturals beings like youkai and spirits live amongst the general populace. These beings are called “Freaks”.
Protagonist Mikitaka and his cousin Shizumi live on an island where at least 80% of the population is comprised of freaks. When one day Mikitaka’s childhood friend Yuuka suddenly appears before him once more. However, this time she returned as a ghost, while she herself has no idea how that came to be.
Due to the circumstances, Yuuka ends up coming to live with Mikitaka and Shizumi. But that’s not the end of it of course. They all want to find out how Yuuka came to be a ghost. Will they be able to find the truth?
