Frontwing’s Island gets PC game English translation

Frontwing also had an announcement for us at this year’s Anime Expo. Following their recent list of English titles, all-ages visual novel game “Island” will also be getting an English localization. The confirmation comes from a tweet by Haerts, showing a picture of Frontwing’s announcement flyer.

Island was released in Japan in April this year and features art by Yousai Kuuchuu (vndb), and a scenario by G.O. (vndb). The latter you might know from “Himawari”, which is another localization in progress. At of this moment we don’t know the release dates for either, and we’ll have to wait for further information about the exact details of Island’s release.

An anime adaption for Island is also in the making (AniDB).

Story
As the name implies, Island takes place on a island located far south from the mainland. It is an island that has been blessed with rich nature and feels like a paradise, a place where one would want to stay forever. But there is a complex history surrounding the island, it began with a series of misfortunes happening to the three major families. Then it tried to cut-off all contact, marking the start of a slow decline, abandoning the Marine Station in the process.

Back in the current time frame, Island’s story begins when a young man washes up ashore, who claims to have come from the future. He disregards all traditions of the island and instead struggles to change the future. But is that really his only goal? And what about the three young girls, each of them a daughter of one of the three major families on the island?

Website
An English website is not (yet?) available for Island, but you can have a look at the Japanese website here.
