It sure has been a busy weekend so far with regards to new localization announcements. This time it’s Sekai Project’s turn and let’s update you on the new announcements they made at Anime Expo.
G-senjou no Maou (vndb)
Let’s first start with G-senjou no Maou, a visual novel by Akabei Soft2, originally released in 2008. It’s is a true battle of wits story with art by Alpha (vndb) and a scenario by Looseboy (vndb). The OP, available here, should provide you with a good impression.
G-senjou no Maou’s story starts in mid-winter, as snow is falling down in the big city. You play through the eyes of Kyousuke Azai, a young man that besides attending school also helps with his stepfather’s “business”. He himself however, also loves listening to classical music and has a bright personality, spending a peaceful and happy life at school.
But then something happens that threatens his daily life. The “Maou” appears and causes several incidents to happen throughout the city. It’s at that time that a long-haired girl named Haru Usami appears, and a battle of wits unfolds to uncover the true identity of the “Maou”.
Chrono Clock (vndb)
The second new title they announced is Chrono Clock by Purple Software, a game released in Japan only just earlier this year. The game is all set around a protagonist that can rewind time to a maximum of 5 minutes. Get an impression of the 6 heroines in the OP published at Sekai Project’s Youtube channel.
Protagonist Rei Sawatari owns a watch that can rewind time for a maximum of 5 minutes. Since he’s able to rewind time at any time he wants he’s currently using that power to examine whatever he can about all the cute girls in school. All in order to confess to one of them later if he wishes to.
When on one day he sees a girl falling down from the rooftop he quickly rewinds time to find out what happened, only to ruin the confession of one of his juniors to his own best friend. So in order to help her he uses his power to make her second confession a success. From that point a love triangle begins, while at the same time he gains the courage for his own confession.
Root Double -Before Crime * After Days- (vndb)
Another game that they announced is Root Double -Before Crime * After Days-, a suspense-themed title released on several platforms including the Xbox 360 and Windows. We do not know which platform Sekai Project is aiming for but they did announce to work with the Xtend Edition, which features more endings, more CGs, and revised gameplay compared to the original release.

It’s September 16 2030, 6:19 AM, when an “incident” occurs at a research facility on the outskirts of an academy town. The incident traps 9 men and women in the basement of the facility. They are now shut in within a world where death can come any moment, with no way out. And it’s not only that, several mysterious events also keep happening one after another, including murder. Will they be able to get out of the situation safely?
The story will be shown through the eyes of 2 different protagonist, the first being the head of the rescue team. While the other perspective will come from one of the students trapped inside.
Wrapping up
While all of the above might already have been plenty of new things to look forward to, Sekai Project did have a few more announcements for us:
- A trailer for Sunrider: Liberation Day is now available
- World End Economica Episode 02 will be out this month
- They’ll be working on a remake for Narcissu, including new art and a new addition to the scenario.
