Steam page opened for G-senjou no Maou

Sekai Project has opened the Steam page for the English translation of Akabei Soft 2’s G-senjou no Maou, for which the English title will be “The Devil on G-String”. The newly opened page is available here and reveals a possible release in the latter part of this year. It also has the game’s OP, which was released along with the original announcement back in July, as well as several screenshots of the English UI.

For now that’s all the information that we get however, and we’ll have to wait for a more specific release date.

G-senjou no Maou

Akabei Soft 2’s G-senjou no Maou was originally released in Japan in 2008 and can arguably be called one of the most popular works by the company. Its story is written by Looseboy, a name that you might also know from the more recent Boku no Hitori Sensou. The distinct art for the game is done by Alpha, an artist that also worked on plenty of other titles by Akabei Soft and its sister labels.

Story

G-senjou no Maou’s story starts in mid-winter, as snow is falling down in the big city. You play through the eyes of Kyousuke Azai, a young man that besides attending school also helps with his stepfather’s “business”. He himself however, also loves listening to classical music and has a bright personality, spending a peaceful and happy life at school.

But then something happens that threatens his daily life. The “Maou” appears and causes several incidents to happen throughout the city. It’s at that time that a long-haired girl named Haru Usami appears, and a battle of wits unfolds to uncover the true identity of the “Maou”.
