In the latest TECH GIAN issue, Japanese game developer AliceSoft has announced to be working on a remake of Rance III. The remake will be called “Rance 03 Leazas Kanraku” and will contain completely new art, an updated scenario, and a revised system. Much comparable with the changes in the Rance 01 remake. Rance 03 will naturally star Rance himself as the main character of the story and will hopefully bring you everything you might expect from a Rance game.
Art for Rance 03 will once again be drawn by Gyokai while the scenario will be handled by Dice Korogashi (Dice roll) and Yoidore Dragon (Drunk Dragon).
The website (Region blocked) has now also been opened and provides pages for the story, characters, CG samples, system, and more.
Story
On one day the large country of Leazas falls under a siege from an elite squad led by prince Patton of the Helman country. The castle falls quickly under the siege by these troops which called upon the aid of demons. During the battle, Princess Lia is also taken captive and the country collapses shortly after.
However, one ninja has managed to escape from the castle, carrying the national treasure and a last message by the princess. Eventually the ninja ends up in the free city of Ice in the west, carrying a tiny bit of hope.
They call upon the brutish warrior that can only think about beautiful girls…
