Visual novel highlights week Nov 20 – Nov 26, new Giga title Mell Kiss announced and goal reached for Undeclared visual novel

Welcome to this week’s update on your visual novel news. It has been a rather quiet week when it comes to English visual novel news. Especially when compared to last week’s update. However, there are still 2 Kickstarter campaigns that reached their funding goals, so there’s still news to report on.

On the Japanese side, we have a new title announcement by Giga, as well as an update for Rance 10 by Alicesoft and various trial releases for upcoming titles.

As usual, the news has been split between English Visual Novels, Japanese Visual Novels, and Nukige games specifically.

English visual novels

Undeclared: Higher Education reaches funding goal

The Kickstarter project for a new visual novel called “Undeclared: Higher Education” reached their funding goal with a few more days to go. Undeclared is a slice of (college) life visual novel centered around Owen Takeda. A student who’s not so good with this whole “social interaction” thing.

Now that the project’s main funding goal has been reached, there are still some stretch goals that could be reached. This includes epilogues for all available routes. The project still has about 70 hours left before the campaign comes to a close.

Princess Guard reaches funding goal

Another Kickstarter project that reached its funding goal last week is “Princess Guard“. A fantasy visual novel by Archelon Works featuring a bodyguard called Reinhold.

Princess Guard has an alpha demo available for those that are interested in checking it out.

There are still some stretch goals that need funding, including additional routes and an OP and ED to complete the package.
