Demo edition for The Human Reignition Project, game funded on Kickstarter

English group Alienworks and publisher Sekai Project have released a demo for The Human Reignition Project, an upcoming English visual novel set in the relatively near future. The demo is available for Windows, Mac, Linux, and there’s even an experimental Android version. Each version is available from Sekai Project’s website here, where the Windows version is 370MB in size.

The game’s Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight campaign are still running. In fact, the Kickstarter campaign already reached its funding goal but with 20 days left there’s still plenty of time to aim for any of the stretch goals. Which include an overall budget increase, an OP, and animation.

The Human Reignition Project

The game’s set in Japan, in the relatively near future. Still this century, but a couple decades from now. Advancements in fields like robotics have made a lot of jobs redundant, and nearly omnipresent devices like smartphones have the done the same for face-to-face conversation. HRP as a game examines the impact that technologies like these have on our lives and relationships. Within the story, the Human Reignition Project is a small group formed by one old lecturer; a relic of a more personal generation. He’d like to see things go back closer to the way they were.
