English company Degica has started the Kickstarter campaign for Age-soft’s visual novel game Muv-Luv. It’s a campaign that has been in preparation for months, and now, within a day after launching the actual Kickstarter page, it has already been funded! Goals of the campaign was to earn $250,000, but at the time of this writing the counter is at roughly $290,000.
That doesn’t mean they’re finished however. There are stretch goals and campaign rewards waiting for you. But first, let’s have a look at what the campaign is about again. The campaign is to focus on the localization and PC/Steam release of the first two visual novels in the series: Muv-Luv and Muv-Luv Alternative, whereby the first game is split in two parts, Muv-Luv Extra and Muv-Luv Unlimited.
Backer Rewards
So let’s quickly have a look at the backer rewards available. If you pledge at least $1 you get access to BackerKit to upgrade your rewards. Starting at $25 you are already eligible to receive a digital copy of the first game and the rewards go up from there on, with gifts bags and digital bundles (with OSTs), followed by Physical bundles and a signed Collector’s Box.
Then the higher we go you can get models included with your collector’s box, as well as tiers that include exclusive pillowcase covers. The tier at $4,000 will also include your name as a “major sponsor” and you’ll receive exclusive Muv-Luv series items from next year’s Comiket 89. The last tier, at $5,000, has already been taken and is no longer available. Have a look at the campaign page for a full list.
Stretch goals
The first stretch goal starts with Muv-Luv improvements including brand new CGs and special unlockable content. After that the goals list android and PS Vita ports, followed by an online Muv-Luv Codex in English. The final reward however, might interest you the most. If they reach $720,000 there will be English localizations and Windows ports of the PS3 Exclusive Muv-Luv side stories collection Photon Melodies and Photon Flowers.
Campaign end
The campaign ends in 40 days, at November 3.
