Story / setting

Farther Than the Blue Sky is set in a school specialized in training space engineers. The school is located on an island far south from the mainland but still attracts a lot of students from all over the country.

Protagonist Otoya Hayabusa considers himself an idiot so he’s surprised when the leader of the Rocket Club “Byakko” asks him to build a rocket together. But right after he joins them, the vice-president of the biggest rocket club in school tells them that Byakko is about to be disbanded. And that there’s only 1 chance to avoid disbanding, which is to win the rocket competition that takes place in the second semester.

The club frantically starts on a project to built a rocket that can give them victory!
