Hataraku Otaku no Ren’ai Jijou is a visual novel by Akabei Soft. It follows the life of Yuuya, a taxi driver. He is one of those so-called “otaku”, people that are in love with things like anime, manga, and games. So during the day he is a hardworking taxi driver, while in his private time he likes to enjoy his beloved anime. And even though it’s quite a fulfilling life as it is, he still feels lonely without anyone around him to talk about their hobby.
That changes when one day one of his customers carries an item related to Yuuya’s hobby. They get to talk about anime and she invites him to come by her work one day. Apparently the lady works at an anime song bar. A place where otaku gather.
A place with people just like him. Just that prospect alone makes him decide to check it out. Maybe he can even meet a girl with the same hobbies as him…
