Endless Jade Sea, or Midori no Umi, is a visual novel originally created by Japanese company Cabbit. Don’t make the artstyle confuse you however. This is not a visual novel with only happy endings. There is plenty of drama and bad endings in Endless Jade Sea.
Deep in an endless green forest, near a beautiful blue lake, lies a mansion. It’s within that beautiful scenery that the story of Endless Jade Sea takes place. The 12 people living in the mansion should have access to everything they need. Including a library full of books and a music room filled with instruments.
However, the inhabitants happen to have met under unusual circumstances. Namely that none of them remember how they got there. They seem to have nowhere else to go. Or rather, they don’t seem to be able to get away. Only trees and darkness await them.
Then one of the boys disappears, and protagonist Kai slowly starts to regain his memories…
What really happened? And do you really want to know?
