Story / Setting
Nemurenu Hitsuji to Kodoku na Ookami is a visual novel by Clock Up. With a story that takes place in the red light district of Kabukicho.
You play through the eyes of a protagonist which suffers from a chronic sleeping disorder. He is currently employed as a live-in employee as a cleaner in a love hotel. Lethargically spending your days.
However, there’s more to you than you might say at first sight. That’s because the only way that you can sleep soundly, is after you’ve killed somebody. So behind the scenes you also work as an assassin for one of the gangs in the area. An occupation that somehow allows you to get some sleep.
So even though it’s a thin line, you can currently spend his days in peace.
That is, until you meet a prostitute named Azami. You soon learn that by holding her you are able to peacefully fall asleep. However, your boss is apparently after her as well. Marking a start to the collapse of your peaceful days.
