Sakigake Generation is set in the town Minahama which lies on the shores of lake Ubutsuchiko. At school, protagonist and game freak Shuuho Kaidou has created an “entertainment study group” together with his younger sister Ririko and his best friend. Each day they gather after school and play games together. Until on one day a new transfer student comes by and asks them if they want to play a game that no one else has played yet.
And so they end up playing the game Wizard Generation, which is still in its testing phase. It’s a game that makes use of all five senses and once they start they find themselves in an unfamiliar lands. They greatly enjoy the game and as they play they get more people involved. However, while they’re all caught up in gaming the real world was about to reach a turning point…
