OP Movie for Makura’s Sakura no Uta with vocals by Hana

Game developer Makura has released the OP movie for Sakura no Uta -Sakura no Mori no Ue wo Mau-, a restarted project for their 10 year anniversary. The movie is roughly 2 minutes long and introduces the various characters by use of CG samples, and should also give you a good impression of the art and theme of the game.

The song in the OP is called  “Sakura no Shi” and is composed by Fuminori Matsumoto of Metrowing, with vocals by Hana and Lyrics by Sca Di. Watch the movie over at Makura’s Youtube channel or directly below.

Sakura no Uta -Sakura no Mori no Ue wo Mau-

The story will focus on protagonist Naoya Kusagani, son of a famous artist. After his father’s dead he comes to live at the house of his best friend, Kei Natsume. Whose older sister is incidentally also Naoya’s homeroom teacher at school. And when he re-unites with his childhood friend in the new school term one could say that it sounds like a promised reunion. Has the passing of time changed their feelings?
