Mangagamer Anime Expo 2019 announcements

As per usual, Mangagamer was once again present at this year’s anime expo in the LA Convention center. And they were able to share some new previously unannounced titles coming up. So let’s dive right into them.

Eternal Torment ~An Immortal Girl’s Dance of Disgrace~

Eternal Torment is a translation of “Mugen Renkan” by Japanese developer Liquid. It’s a game that follows the life of a freed immortal slave girl as she tries to escape her pursuers. A tale that brings her to various ages of the world, including medieval Europe, the Wild West, and Meiji Era Japan. Which as you can judge by the description, is a dark type of story.

It’s written by Izumi Ban’ya who also worked on various other Liquid projects like Kuroinu. While the art in Eternal Torment is by Kuroishi Ringo.

This’ll be the first new translation of a Liquid game since the release of the Kuroinu series.

Funbag Fantasy: Sideboob Story 2

Next up is the announcement for the next entry in the Funbag Fantasy series. This time, Mangagamer have announced to bring Funbag Fantasy: Sideboob Story 2 to the west. Which, as the name implies, is a story tied to the original story of Funbag Fantasy and the previous Funbag Fantasy: Sideboob Story.

Set 5 years after the events of Funbag Fantasy: Sideboob Story and the queens and advisors have trouble trying to keep Lute’s disappearance a secret. Yet at the same time we follow a mysterious masked man who washed up ashore and finds himself in all sorts of trouble.

Of course there will be both existing- and new characters in this Waffle game for you to enjoy.

Rance 01 and Rance 02

Not one, but 2 games in one. So if you like Alice Soft’s Rance series you’re in for a ride (if you get what I mean). Mangagamer has announced to be working on both the Rance 01 and Rance 02 games. From which the first one is a remake of the original Rance game, while the second was released back in 2009.

This will be a combined release that contains both games. And they are looking into adding the unofficial “Kai” patch which may have to be provided separately as well.
