The story of Love, Vampire Flowers takes place in a boarding school that once used to be an all-girls school. Protagonist Hartwig is the sole male in the small gardening club which has activities like watering the flowers, repairing the greenhouse, planting new flowers, and occasionally bringing flowers to the nearby hospital. The club has also inherited several things from the abolished agriculture department, including their current clubroom and a large greenhouse.
Then on one day they see a suspicious shadow that must’ve entered from outside the school grounds, something that’s not supposed to be possible seeing as all students are living in dormitories. As they try to figure out who it was they ask Hartwig if that really wasn’t him out there. Hartwig has in fact a secret… he’s actually a vampire.
