Mangagamer opens pre-orders for Gahkthun of the Golden Lightning

Good news for fans of English visual novels and especially those of you who are a fan of Liar-soft’s work. Yesterday Mangagamer has opened pre-orders for this new localization. It’s been just over a year since this translation was officially announced and hasn’t had a lot of updates surrounding its progress.

Gahkthun of the Golden Lightning will be the first Mangagamer translation for a game by Liar-soft. The game’s Japanese name is “Ourai no Gahkthun ~What a Shining Braves~”, which was released in Japan in 2012. The game features two different protagonists and while that concept isn’t exactly unique, it’s worth mentioning that having both a male- and a female protagonist can make for interesting storytelling. Be sure to read their extensive descriptions at Mangagamer’s pre-order page here.

CG Samples

The same page also has a few example CG by artist Senmaiba. Gahkthun and its fandisc are the only known games by this artist, which makes it an unique opportunity!

Nikola claims to be 72 years old and that he is there to save all of them.

The English edition has currently been scheduled for release on December 23.

Price

The game’s final price for the download edition has been set to $44.95, whereby pre-orders provide a discount of roughly $4.50, setting the price to $40.45.
