Today Japanese developer Key has announced gold status for the first chapter in the visual novel series for Angel Beats, 1st beat. Which basically means it’s in the final stage in preparation for its release. Originally aired as a TV series, it has been a long time since the first announcement was made about the visual novel. And now it won’t be long before you’ll finally be able to join the engaging story in a visual novel format.
A special image featuring Iwasawa was added to the game’s site to mark the event.
Angel Beats -1st beat- will be released as an all-ages game and will feature full routes for Iwasawa, Yui, and Matsushita. The scenario is written by Jun Maeda, Kai, and Leo Kashida, while character design and art are done by Na-Ga. All major voice actors for the game are the same as those for the anime series. The game will release in Japan on June 26.
