On their homepage, Key announced a month delay for the upcoming first entry of the visual novel for Angel Beats,”Angel Beats! -1st beat-“. In the announcement they apologize to those looking forward to the release and say they’ll work hard to deliver a product that’s as polished as what’s expected from them. The new exact release date for 1st beat is now set to June 26.
With the delay, the official mail order timeframe will naturally be extended as well and will be accepting orders until May 21.
Angel Beats visual novel
Angel Beats! -1st beat- will be the first entry in a visual novel series that originally aired as an anime series in 2010. It’ll be an all-ages release and all major voice actors will be the same as those from the anime. Supervised by Jun Maeda the story will come to life with art by Key’s regular artist Na-Ga. It’s currently unknown how many “beats” there will be.
