Welcome to yet another week of wonderful visual novel update news! This week surely was a busy one. Well, mostly the weekend, really. Both Sekai Project and Denpasoft had plenty of announcements to share with us all. Read all about them in the post below.
But that’s not all, both JAST USA and Mangagamer have also been busy it seems. Meaning there’s plenty to read up on this week.
On the Japanese side, we also got some more information on Alcot’s new title, as well a new title announcement by Hooksoft. As per usual, the news has been split between English Visual Novels, Japanese Visual Novels, and Nukige games specifically.
English visual novels
New game: Love’s Sweet Garnish
Avid readers may remember last week‘s announcement from new brand Canvas+Garden. They are working on their debut title called Koi ni, Kanmi o Soete. Which will be released in Japanese in late December. But well, here’s something unexpected: They will also team up with Sekai Project to bring an English version of the game to the west. Its title will be “Love’s Sweet Garnish”.
Love’s Sweet Garnish is a story about a protagonist that wants to revive his grandmother’s cafe, written by well-known writers Kazama Bonanza and Takashima Eiji. More on the story can be found here.
A English release date has not yet been announced.
New game: Love-Duction!
Denpasoft also had some announcement of their own last weekend. One of these being a new partnership with amateur group US8, to bring over their Love-Duction title. A game that follows the story of a student who has been traumatized by love.

New yuri visual novel: Heart of the Woods
Sekai Project has announced a partnership with new developer Studio Élan for a new yuri project called Heart of the Woods. A small website has been opened here to provide an introduction to the game. Artist Rosuuri will be providing CG art for the game while Josh Kaplan and Rachel Gruber will be writing the story.
A release date has not yet been announced. Though it appears that Heart of the Woods will be available in an adult edition as well (Source).
Another yuri title: The Waters Above
At the same time, it was also announced that Studio Élan is working on a second title called The Waters Above. For which a small webpage was also made available. CG art will be done by Namie, while the story will be written by Ally Kaye with Josh Kaplan being the producer/editor.
The Waters Above also does not yet have a release date.
Saku Saku: Love Blooms with the Cherry Blossoms available October 2nd
Remember the upcoming English translation for Koi ga Saku Koro Sakura Doki that was unfortunately delayed right before its release date? Well wait no longer, it should be available on Steam on October 2nd very soon (in a few hours in fact). Just remember that its English title is Saku Saku: Love Blooms with the Cherry Blossoms.
Date and pre-orders for Princess X – My Fiancee is a Monster Girl?!
JAST USA has announced the release date for Poison@Berry’s monster girl visual novel Princess X. It seems that the game will release on October 31 with the full title of “Princess X – My Fiancee is a Monster Girl?!”. Pre-orders have already been opened here.
Princess X follows the story of Shinichi’, a young boy who is surprised to learn that his father has arranged various monster girl fiancees for him.

Short English title news
- Circus’s Space Live went on sale over at Mangagamer last week.
- Seventh Heart Studio’s Eternal Hour will be getting 2 free prequels. Strings of Fate and The Lost Date.
- Saiha and Nachi stories will be coming as DLC for Neko-nin exHeart.
- Sekai Project will team up with Cosmillica to bring all-ages title Subete no Koi ni, Hanabata to the west.
- Sekai Project will also partner up with gog.com to bring some of their titles to the platform (source).
- Denpasoft will partner up with nostalgia for an English release of Girls in Glasses (source).
- Carpe Diem: Reboot also had a successful release on Steam last week.
- After a successful beta release on Steam, a patch Muv-Luv alternative is still in the making.
- And the PS Vita version is in full development.
- Dharker Studio has announced a full list of games to come in the coming years. I recommend reading the original KS post here.
- (Yaoi) Naked Butlers is also accepting pre-orders now. Release later this month.
Japanese visual novels
Alcot opens website for Shougun-sama wa Otoshigoro
As announced last week, Alcot has now opened the website for their latest title, Shougun-sama wa Otoshigoro. As of yet however, there aren’t that many pages yet. It currently includes a story summary and character introductions for the 4 heroines.
It seems that the story will feature a protagonist who fell into a coma after a traffic accident. But when he opens his eyes again, he suddenly finds himself in a different time period.
A release date for Shougun-sama wa Otoshigoro has not yet been published.
New Hooksoft title: IxSHE Tell
It was about time that Hooksoft announced their new game. And what do you know, there it is! Their new title is called IxSHE Tell. I know, but don’t look at me, I didn’t come up with that title. But hey, they already opened the website as well. It looks like it’ll feature 5 heroines and a protagonist named Hajime.
Rinks will once again doing the art for this title. An artist that came into the scene with the release of Amenity’s Life in 2016. And the story will be written by Sakuragi Nao and Matsukura Shinji.
So far the release date has been set to somewhere in 2018.
Short Japanese title news
- 5pb. Games opened the website for Memories Off -Innocent Fille-.
- Hexenhaus opened the website (NSFW) for Konya dake demo Tomete Kudasai.
- And while there’s nothing on Feng’s website just yet, their latest title appears to be called Zutto Mae Kara Joshi Deshita
- Crystalia released the OP for Kizuna Kirameku Koi Iroha (Youtube).
- Cube released the trial edition for November title Yurauka.
- Ensemble Sweet’s Ubu na Otome no Ecchi na Onegai reached gold status.
- And so did Pulltop’s LoveKami -Trouble Goddess-.
- And Azarashi Soft Zero’s debut title Yami to Shukusai no Sanctuary.
Patches
September games were released so there are some patches up for grabs.
- Parasol released patch 1.01 for Sakura Hitohira Koi Moyou.
- Hiqo Soft released patch 1.01 for Omokage Railback.
- Miti released patch 1.01 for Hoshi Furu Yoru no Farnese.
- Island Belle released up to patch 1.03 so far for Dolphin Blade.
- Shirokuma Dango released an update for Iyashi no Megami no Marmot.

- Cacao’s new title is called Shuugaku Ryokou Harem.
- A new brand called ONE-SHOT is working on a title called Watashi ga Anata o Mamoru Tame ni 5tsu no Yakusoku.
- Mad Raid is also working on a title called Mesu Onahole Seisaku Kiroku.
- Noir Soft’s latest title is Iede Shoujo to Tome Otoko.
- New brand Pure-Liquid debut title is called Venus Resort: Kyonyuu Rankou Island.
- Appetite released a trial edition for Saimin Appli de Netori Hame.
- Appetite also released a trial for Osananajimi wa, Kakure Do M.
